How it works
A schematic of how GuideKit works, drawn in the browser.
Summary
- Context
- People are told to use AI at work and left to work it out inside the tool. Papi Labs runs GuideKit as its teaching product, and I run my AI workshops for teams under the same name.
- Problem
- Training sits on a separate platform, away from the tool and away from the work, so what someone can actually do afterwards is never visible.
- Constraints
- Four languages. Arabic and Persian read right to left, so the layout has to change too.
- Approach
- A panel sits beside the AI tool the person is already using and coaches them there, while they do the real work.
- What is new
- The lesson happens where the work happens. You apply what you have just read in the same gesture, in the tool you were going to use anyway.
- Outcome
- Live at guidekit.ai, with more than 450 installs.
- Evidence
- Anyone can install it and use it today, and a certificate it issues can be checked by whoever is shown it, on a public page.
- Status
- Live. The next version, which lets an organisation show what its people can actually do, is in development.
About GuideKit
What you give it, and what you get
You install the extension and a panel sits beside the AI tool you are already trying to use.
You get short lessons where the work is, with prompts you can copy straight into the tool in one gesture. When you finish a module, a quiz records it, so you build a record of what you can do.
On the website you sign up and browse the library. It also has a public page where anyone can verify a certificate.
Why it is different
Most training asks you to leave the work, learn somewhere else, and come back hoping it transfers. GuideKit teaches you inside the tool, while you work.
It runs in English, Arabic, Persian and Ukrainian. Arabic and Persian read right to left, and the layout changes to match.
Open an AI tool from a lesson and the panel picks that lesson up at the same step, so you do not lose your place. I also run my AI workshops for teams under the GuideKit name, so the same material works in a room and on a screen.
Where it stands
GuideKit is live at guidekit.ai, with more than 450 installs.
Anyone can install it today and start in any of the four languages.
The next version is in development. An organisation should be able to show who can do what, with a credential the learner holds and anyone can verify, and a record the employer can keep.
What the record shows today is that a person completed the work on their own machine. That is enough for a learner. It is not yet enough for an employer, and the next version addresses that.
